Dream Spouse announce third album with new single “Scorching (Don’t Date A Musician)”

“Scorching (Do not Date A Musician)” is the group’s first launch of 2023, and can seem on their Social Lubrication album with November’s “Leech”. The punchy new single is teamed with a Bethany Fitter-directed video.

Lead vocalist Rakel Mjöll says of the one, “Relationship musicians is a nightmare. Evoking imagery of late evening make-outs with fuckboy/lady/ambiguously-gendered musicians on their mattress after being seduced by song-writing chat. The roles being equally reversed. Having fun collectively and having the ability to poke enjoyable at ourselves may be very a lot on the coronary heart of this band. This track encapsulates our shared sense of humour. Sonically it’s the lovechild of CSS and Motorhead. It has our onerous, reside, rock edge mixed with cheeky and playful vocals.”

Social Lubrication will observe their 2020 album So When You Gonna…, and is totally self-written and self-produced.

The band describe their upcoming album as “Hyper lusty rock and roll with a political punch, exploring the alchemy of attraction, the lust for all times, embracing group and calling out the patriarchy. With a wholesome dose of playfulness and enjoyable thrown in.”
